Short film

What do you know about your family?
Trailer
Story
With his wedding to Carlos approaching, Tony, a young immigrant to the US, invites his conservative older sister to the ceremony. This fateful decision forces Tony to decide who his real family is.

It's an emotional journey of a person who gives up on their roots to build a connection that would make them stronger. It's about how we lose and find each other. It's about each of us.

Millions of queer people around the world have to stay closeted just to be safe. Some of them decide to move, leaving their families and places of origin to find peace and be themselves. There are millions of families who will never fully know their sons and daughters, which is not customary to discuss.
The grandiose lie that surrounds life in the post-Soviet countries today, more than ever, requires talking about taboo topics. We hope that our film will help those who have to hide to find strength, support, and understanding.
Aleksei Borovikov, writer/director
